What this is
This is not a portrait session, and that is the point.
Agencies call them digitals. Some bookers still say polaroids, from the days when they were shot on instant film. Same thing.
Every agency asks for the same four frames: headshot from the front, headshot in profile, waist up, and full body. The other two are yours to spend on whatever else your agency wants, which is usually a smile, your hair up as well as down, or a second outfit.
No styling, no retouching. Your booker wants to see you as you are today, and anything added only gets in the way. If you are not with an agency yet, we shoot the standard set, which is what every submission asks for.
So the setup never changes. Same white background, same light, same camera height, every time. That is why half an hour is plenty, and why your set from March and your set from September will sit side by side perfectly.

What to wear and bring
Digitals are about your proportions and your face, so clothing stays plain and fitted.
Wear
- A fitted plain top, black or white, no logos and no patterns
- Fitted jeans, trousers or fitted shorts
- Bare feet, or simple heels
Bring
- A second fitted top in the opposite colour, for your change
- Heels, if you have them
- A hair tie
Come with clean hair, worn down. We shoot a few frames with it pulled back as well.
