JG is a French photographer shooting portraits and fashion from his studio in Shibuya and on location. Tokyo-based since 2015, he has photographed for major organizations and independent labels, as well as local and international artists. He speaks English, French, and Japanese.

Process

1. The Session

All sessions take place at JG’s studio in Shibuya (see on Google Maps).

On-location shoots available on request.

2. The Gallery

A private digital gallery is delivered within 24 hours for you to select your favourite photographs.

Additional retouched photographs at ¥10,000 each.

3. The Finish

Each selected photograph is retouched by hand: organic skin refinement, precise texture management, bespoke color grading.

Delivery within seven days.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does a portrait session cost?

There are three packages: The Signature Mini at ¥30,000, The Editorial at ¥60,000, and The Verre at ¥120,000.

What is included in the session fee?

Studio time and retouched photographs. The Signature Mini includes 3 retouched images, The Editorial 6, and The Verre 12.

Is hair and makeup included?

Hair and makeup are optional, so they are not part of the session fee. If you would like them, they are arranged and quoted separately. Many clients come with their own hair and makeup done, or without any at all.

Do I need to book the studio separately?

No. Studio time is included in the session fee.

How and when do I pay?

By credit card or cash on the day of the shoot. Advance payment by card is also possible if you prefer.

What language will the shoot be directed in?

Japanese, English or French, whichever you are most comfortable with.

Where do sessions take place?

At JG Studio in Dogenzaka, Shibuya, a natural-light studio about five minutes from Shibuya Station.
